Page 1 of Ice Age...beats Monsters Inc hands down!!!

Just been to see Ice Age & it`s a far funnier film than Monsters Inc. It`s just a better film all round, take the kids to go see it, or if you haven`t got kids go anyway you`ll still enjoy it.

Watch out for the Do-do`s...hilarious!

Couldn`t agree more. Took my kids to see it this morning. Everybody in the cinema was laughing their heads off -- the kids and the adults. Excellent movie !!

Yep...same here Steve, my daughter couldn`t stop laughing, along with the rest of us adults (big kids)!

This happens whenever a Disney film is released. Theres always a similar animated film which immediately everyone says is better than the Disney film.

My advice, dont compare them, film studios are releasing these titles in order to use Disney`s marketing. Hardly fair, its bound to be better.

In my experience, Disney aim at the younger child, whilst others aim at older kids and adults.

did anyone think it was say 10 mins too short though?

Imho Toy Story and Toy Story 2 are A1 films, but A Bugs Life isn`t in the same league and was far surpassed by the superior Antz. I suspect Disney`s days as the number one animation studio are numbered, they certainly don`t deserve to be liked with their pathetic extortion attempts with the DVD format.

Ask your self would the film world and peoples chilhood been better of without Disney? Me thinks not!

So stop slaging them, all the other companies top people have learnt their trade at Disney before leaving, so no Shrek and no Ice age so just remember that before slaging them.

Ants bored most kids under 15 years old, Bugs life didn`t.

Must be in a minority here but I though Monsters Inc was far superior. The team up between the the mammoth and the sloth was just a rehash of Shrek but not as funny. It was very predictable and it did seem very short in length.

PS. Are those rhinos the first gay couple to be in a disney feature!

I too think that Monsters Inc was better than Ice Age, but not by much. Some of the animation in Ice Age was mind blowing (the opening scene and the ice shutes in the cave), but overall, Monsters Inc was better.

I agree that Disney no longer have the monopoly on great animated movies, and when the Pixar deal comes to its end (only one film to go!), Disney will have to start doing things for themselves.

I still think that the best CGI animated movie of the past few years is Shrek, closely followed by Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc.
