Make sure you are definately logged into the DVD Forums - sometimes it isn`t too obvious if you are - to check if you are, see if you view the bargain forum - if you can`t then you aren`t logged in

Bang goes my Twin Peaks Box Set. I was wondering as their order line was either left to ring or permanently engaged. They also haven`t answered my e-mails either. Ironically I cancelled my order with Absound as I thought there was going to be a post strike and they had to reorder. I thought rather than risk a delay and possible vat on a four box set I`d try Ringos who promised next day delivery about two weeks ago. Angie? even had the cheek to ring me as my credit card details weren`t up to date. She also said copies of A.I. were being held up in the post when I thought it hadn`t even been released.

I have been reading that many suppliers have lost out to the tune of tens of thousands of pounds - I feel really sorry for these and also for those customers who have lost out on their DVDs

yep - that`s me!

£30 for a tin set of Heathers (that I already have/doesn`t work/waiting to return to supplier etc etc) which was `posted` last month! Like a good little puppy I waited the requiste 4 weeks - then got the no phone/no email/ no bloody nothing from Ringos. They even had the audacity to email a blanket apology due to the mailbombing they were getting - Well now we know why...

And I was just about to accuse the postie office of chicanery - well it just goes to show it`s not always the royal mail/GPO/consignia (take your pick as I`ve lost track).

Grrrrrr......

This is one hell of a cheeky scam : I`ve always thought highly of Ringo`s as they seemed to be a good, family-run business that gave the impression it was on the side of the consumer (they spent the best part of a year building up a good client base via DVD Forums, especially during the Star DVDs fiasco).

The recent "bootleg" allegations left a nasty taste, and now the fact they appear to have upped sticks means that they are obviously in serious financial trouble (maybe the house has been repossessed, hence the boarding up ?).

Definitely, definitely cancel your credit cards if you have outstanding orders with these guys.

The last few months have been one long scam - when they were talking about new phone systems they were lying, when mailbags containing DVDs went `missing` it meant that Stu couldn`t be arsed going down to his supplier and they have totally screwed their suppliers with many such as Movietyme being owed many thousands of pounds

Absolutely pathetic end to a once good company if you ask me - I`m just thankful I didn`t have anything on order!
