Clarkston rants on `one show` about strikers !

Complaints are now in the thousands as the `tory puppet` of top gear, gets away with talking about shooting strikers. He should be thrown out of the BBC.

If you or I had said "that they should take strikers outside and shoot them in front of their families", then we would get a jail sentence.

The problem with that guy is that he was deadly serious and tried to say it as a joke.

My wife and thousands of others were out on official strike on Wednesday to tell everyone and especially the goverment, how they are fed up with not having a rise for three years, for having to work longer to recieve a pension, and to contribute more, all due to this austerity rubbish.

We have bampots like that Clarkston, who is a millionare and pals with the tory party, who do not understand the frustration of this country now, and how a majority of the people are trying to make ends meet week by week.

The guy has now flown to China for some crummy reason, likely to drive as fast as he can, and hopefully will not want to return.

a. it`s Clarkson

b. it was a joke, it wasn`t serious

c. austerity rubbish?

Who do you think pays our wages and our pensions?  It`s the taxpayer.  That same taxpayer who at the lower end of the payscale where I am and I suspect your wife may be as well (do you earn under £25k?) has in general taken paycuts and doesn`t actually have a pension pot to p*ss in.

And from your own link:

"Clarkson said in a statement on Thursday night: "I didn`t for a moment intend these remarks to be taken seriously - as I believe is clear if they`re seen in context. If the BBC and I have caused any offence, I`m quite happy to apologise for it alongside them."

The presenter told the Daily Mirror: "I support the strikers in the first part. I said it was like being in the 1970s, my favourite decade. Then I said, but this is the BBC so we have to be impartial, and I expressed an extreme version of the other side of the coin, neither of which I believe.

"I expressed two different views. Which one do I apologise for? I am just making fun of the BBC`s need to be impartial. Not about strikers. I wasn`t saying that strikers should be shot."

Well he should not have said it, and there are thousands very angry indeed.

He needs chucked out of the BBC.

but he never will. Top Gear is one of the biggest money spinners the BBC has ever been a part of (it`s exported worldwide) and part of the appeal of the programme is Clarkson`s loudly voiced, yet laughably out of touch/non-PC viewpoints.

This is a classic case of selective editing. As was posted above, he NEVER meant what he said and he referred to this when he said it. To take his words at face value without taking into account the meaning of what he said is just base tabloid sensationalism, and to call for his sacking over it exhibits classic` fingers in the ears I`m not listening la la la laaa back to Russia`

So, for balance, what do you think about the Scottish comedian who would revel in Maggie Thatcher`s death?

Both within days of each other, but one caused `mass outrage` whilst the other barely reported with the same venom or glee...

Is thatcher still alive

Never liked Clarkson, Stig and Co anyway, the way he shows high speed cars going round bends on `road tracks` then skidding off safely into grass, is not the real world.

Young drivers try the same and end up crashed into a wall or tree.

It was a fairly nasty thing to say...fine til he said in front of their families IMO, but equally, never meant to be taken seriously.

So he should be sacked for making a joke and it being taken out of context? Is that not maybe a touch extreme?  I`ve no doubt if someone sacked your wife for making a joke and it being taken out of context, the union would be backing her up in a claim for unfair dismissal.

I generally find him quite amusing (although usually in a "what`s he done now?" kind of way, and I enjoy top gear :)

When I heard this reported I was outraged then just as I was looking under the stairs for the tar and feathers I heard the actual clip played.
Slow news day was it?

I used to be with it, but then they changed what `it` was.
Now, what I`m with isn`t it, and what`s `it` seems weird and scary
