Page 1 of Fuel prices..again!

Anyone noticed the sudden jump again in fuel?
Diesel here has gone from around 95p a litre to an average of 101.9 (as high in one as 107.9!)
Unleaded I noticed the other day has jumped massively and is now on par with Diesel.
We were around the 89p a litre, it`s now 98.9 average and tonight I saw one station charging 102.9 for Unleaded!
Then there`s the Super unleaded variant and the Forecourt own brand "super" fuels, the ones about 8p a litre more than their normal counterpart.
Makes you sick, really does.

As usual Jim, the petrol companies are very quick to raise prices when oil prices are rising, but never drop the price significantly when oil prices fall.
When the oil price was around $40 a barrell (lowest it`s been for many years), we were still paying around 85p per litre (unleaded), even though in reality it should be more like 70p (or less) per litre.
They will argue that they`re paying in advance for their supplies (futures prices) etc. but most of the time it`s a load of crap IMO and they are just profiteering.
I think we have to face up to the fact that it will never be cheap (relatively speaking) and that we`ll also never quite get the promised super electric/hybrid cars to the point that they actually make our travel cheaper/easier! (Or if we do the cars will be ridiculously expensive to buy in the first place).

Haven`t seen diesel for less than 99.9 for quite a while here. About 100.9 - 102.9 now in the last week or so.

We will pay the price but we will not count the cost..
Yep - more rip-off pricing from the fuel companies. It`s gone up from 82.9 in feb to 99.9 here in Crewe, Cheshire but diesel has only gone up a little.
Back then they were saying diesel was more expensive because demand had gone up for it across the world - so have they all decided to sell their diesels now then?
why take life so seriously..its not like you are going to make it out alive
Petrol always goes up in price during the summer, can`t think why? >:(
Didnt the chancellor whack another 2p on in tax at the budget too??
Since then i`ve noticed it steadily rising again
And yes, the companies have been spouting the "we`re still paying the higher price as we bought in advance" but as was rightly said we know that whilst an element of that is true they are well aware that they will not put the prices down to about the 70p mark to reflect the cost of a barrel of oil because us Brits usually do sweet FA about it so they can just cream in the dosh

You may moan but they know you`ll pay
Don`t have any choice but pay. Can`t do without a car, can`t do without a van.
I think there has been talk of fuel going up to around 115p later in the summer.
