I tried, really I did. hannah in her knickers was a high point of the first season, but rubbish plots, awful acting, abysmal characters (Helen Cutter`s cleavage) and a lack of regard for factual science that goes beyond speculation has got me begging they finally pop that last nail in this corpse`s coffin.

(thousands of years of water erosion and the wooden doors are still standing...)

Doctor Who, Robin Hood, Primeval, Demons......
Why do these channels think that what we want to watch on a Saturday night is bad acting (generally), poor special effects and crap plots?
Well either that or Graham Bleeding Norton presenting something else with Frog Face sat in a throne. Now, a show of Graham Norton Bleeding I would watch!

I agree about Demons and robin hood, but Dr Who is still a highlight, and one of the few things they`ve got right - until that Matt Smith bloke takes over, and the fate of the franchise rests on his shoulders

yeah Miss Spearitt in her kecks was deffo THE highlight. My daughter loves it but then she is only 9. Tonight Helen Cutter ( THE baddy for the uninitiated) is travelling back in time to wipe out the earliest know humans to destroy all trace of the human race from then to now. Heavens above. The script has got more holes than the show has anomalies.

edit @ 8.15pm - they are gonna be wiped out now (poisoned). So history of mankind is going to change. It was nice knowing you all but we will not be here in 10 mins. In fact we will never have existed, unless ...................................................................... a primeval goody saves the day.

edit 8.18pm Helen now saying humanity is a stain on the planet.

I think they were trying to guarantee another series by ending the series on a farscape-style cliffhanger ending, but I think you`ve summed it up nicely...

Personally I find it preferable to umpteen "talent" shows , or anything with Ant and Dec in it.

I agree (although A&D are not too bad). I think Peter Kays "Britain`s Got the Pop Factor... and Possibly a New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly on Ice" pretty much summed up UK TV for the past 10 years. Utter dross some of it, and i would sooner watch something like Primeval then the 13 weeks of utter dross on CH4 which started last week.I can`t believe that crap is still being shown.

I`m an educated person, not a Chav or Toff, i read the Sun newspaper occasionaly, and sometimes the Telegraph or Independent, but it nice at times to just switch the old brain off for an hour or so, and watch a programme/film without having some deep meaning, or sit there picking it to bits because its not being 100% historically accurate.
Lets face it, how "real" and accurate is most of history? It depends on the person telling the story, of which there will always be 2 sides. I`m not convinced the bible is actually real, but there you go.

Anyway, back on topic, Demons was crap, fair point. Robin Hood is so so, and Dr Who, well its ok in parts, but not a patch on the original Dr Who series.
Hopefully PE will get another series, it has good viewing figures, which is more then can be said for BB10.

I quite liked it. (Ducks behind the parapet)
