Letter to the MPs (sent to all parties)

I am sick and tired of being bombarded with piles of junk mail telling me who I should be voting for. Anyway, I have sent this e mail to local MPs and to those wanting my vote on Thursday. I have tried to contact my local MP/candidate with no success - none of the buggers send a response or call me back after I have left messages in their office.Is there anything I should be adding? Be polite please! ;)

Quote:
Good Afternoon,

I have received an unsolicited mail from yourselves regarding the upcoming elections. It would appear that the only time you care about my voice and opinion is this time of year. Whilst this may be standard practice, I am capable of conducting my own research and formulating my own opinion. I am still undecided at the moment as the choice seems to be to vote for:

A party with no moral fibre, backbone and leader who is in office undemocratically;
A party of hooray Henry`s who think they are in touch with the electorate en masse;
A bunch of xenophobes hiding behind the skirt of politics and so called democracy and a better Britain for all.

Needless to say, I will be voting as my vote is important, as I mentioned I am still undecided. Perhaps you can explain to me why we are still operating an election under antiquated and frankly outdated means of voting? Is this merely the big parties trying to secure their own seats/power base? Also, why have the MPs caught up in the claims scandals not been fired or suspended from post? In any other job an employee would be sacked for gross misconduct!

As a university lecturer, the labour party has severely damaged the higher education system. We are now having to operate on capped numbers, yet we can take money from international students who are expected to pay 3 times as much as a UK student! Where is the logic in this? I welcome applications from potential students onto my programmes regardless of where they are from, as long they meet the entry requirements and are willing to study. The labour party has started to put the nails into the coffin of higher education in this country. What will you do to meet the needs of UK & international students?

I should be grateful for a response to this email ahead of the upcoming elections.

I very much welcome your response.

Sincerely,

I hope to get a response from one of them. What`s the usual turn around time for a response?

Thanks
:D

When you say sent to all parties you mean the main 3 or all of them?

"As a university lecturer, the labour party has severely damaged the higher education system."

I didn`t realise the labour party was a university lecturer.

It was sent to all of the parties I could find contact details for. Miles, the Labour party is not a lecturer, it was merely a slip of the keys. I`ll await a response form one or all of them.
