Cliches - at the end of the day who cares ?
Well I care because they`re so unnecessary and plainly boring.
"I`m not being funny but..." !! - too right you`re not...
"So I turned round and said and then he turned round and said and then she turned round..........for God`s sake just keep still and stop spinning round during conversations.
And on a related point, "the following programme may contain flash photography" - Can no one anticipate that possibility - do we need to be told everything - dodgy camerawork makes me feel dizzy but do I get a "May trigger Migraines " warning ?
Anyway it`s the end of the day so over to you.................

I normally respond with "At the end of the day it`s dark".

I think that if you suffer from photosensitive epilepsy, an advance warning would really come in handy.

Perhaps not strictly cliches, but there are a few things which seem to wind me up at the minute.
Firstly, the use of the word random in the place of miscellaneous. Everything is "random" at the minute, when in reality there`s nothing random about any of it.
Also, the lazy repetitive use of the word "like" (which I think has come over from Californian TV shows).
What I`m listening to...

and as bowfer pointed out in another thread....overuse of the word `Literally`.
A new one for me is overuse of the word `ironically`......most people use that word when theres nothing ironic at all.....its normally a coincidence.....dumbasses.

I think its more the wording than the infomation itself, a show thats say an hour long may contain flashing images...when exactly? are folks with photosensitive epilepsy supposed to watch from behind a cushion so they dont get caugh out by the sudden flashing at a random point in the show? can you enjoy a programme knowing any moment flashing images could send you into a fit?

One from the TV news (and probably on the radio as well) that has been winding me up lately is an overuse of the word unprecedented.
Everything they report on seems to be an unprecedented occurrence nowadays. I`m sure it`s often (strictly speaking) true, but there must be another way of saying it, just for variety`s sake, mustn`t there?
