Page 1 of Anyone else worried about our soldiers?

This year is the first that my best mate has not been here (my bday was on 23rd), he is currently in iraq, while he maintains it is relativity safe (i guess compared to afgan.) I still get chill every time i open up the bbc news page and see a british death!

I must say while i am strongly against the war and hate the fact our troops are in this situation every day i pray my friend (and british troops) will be ok.

Probably very off topic but I just want to say happy holidays to all out troops serving abroad! i am very much a liberal tree hugger type but my best friend is doing what a lot of us couldn`t and doing his bit for our great country so best wishes and my thoughts go out to our brits serving abroad, and i hope they have some cheer over these holidays!

I agree as I have a few mates in HM forces but remember when you sign up its not all sking and seeing the nice parts of the world, there is always the chance of war.

You dont have to agree or disagree with the war in iraq or gan to hope that all our troops stay safe and return unharmed.

Hope they all get a sand free christmas dinner :D
