Definite shame...now HMV is one of the only high-street retailers left for music/DVDs etc.

Had a feeling it was on the cards after EUK went under. Their prices never inspired me to buy anything from them though (much like HMV). Might be some bargains on the horizon I guess. The economic implosion continues.

Well recently Zavvi have had some good prics on there Blu Rays (Matrix 24.99!) But to be honest i used to work for Virgin, and the stores were a sinking ship back before Zavvi took over so it would have taken much for them to go under. I very much doubt that HMV will suffer as there website seems to get alot of business and i think they are owned by quite a big retailer (cant remember their name!)
Not to sound like a `vulture` but i do hope Zavvi have a clearout like woolworths as their back cat stuff is far better!!

It didnt look good a few weeks ago when the website was suspended due to being unable to deliver orders due to supply problems caused by the woolworths/entertainment uk situation. Ive been into Zavvi a couple of times (we dont have a high street branch but theres one on a retail park a few miles away) and found their prices to be a bit on the high side. How many more retailers are woolies gonna take down with em? :/
