RE: The Canadian Thread aka Too Lazy To Blog.
It`s been a while since Rassilon posted about this thread, so thought why not....We are still in Okotoks AB and love it here we bought a house in Feb 2010 the kids are enjoying it too and have made new friends, our eldest James came out to join us in July 2010 he was not to sure at first about being here then he turned 18 and hit the bars ( u have to be 18 to even be in a bar here) he has made so many friends now and loves it here, he calls his bedroom the pit as he is in the basement lol he has passed his driving test and is now driving my old car I`m free lol no longer his taxi driver.
I have the best job ever Mark (Rassilon) has even said he is proud of me I work 1 to 1 with kids that have disabilities at the moment a 3 year old with speech problems, he is doing really well with me teaching him guided by therapists of course. Mark is doing Ok with his job too.
Our local bar Foxy`s does a great steak sandwich and we have meet some good friends in there too, its feeling more and more like home (UK) every day now, even James and his mates drink in there something, we are called cool parents by James mates lol their parents don`t go out to bars, oh and James thinks we are cool too.....So yes life here is great it took a while to settle and it was a bit rocky at times, but we made it to the light at the end. and are happy we made the right decision to come here.
I`m sure Rassilon will add his bit now, (especially about his dalek ) he always does lol and sorry for not keeping u regularly updated Juls
Think its time to go and get something to eat now.

RE: Baby Sleeping problems - Advice Please
You could try putting a small amount of baby rice in her last feed or spoon feeding her some, I used to put my son down about 10pm after his last feed with baby rice in his milk, it worked for me!! he is 18 now where has the years gone. :)

Need your thoughts on how play has changed?
Need some help please I`m taking my child care level 1 and would like your thoughts on how much children`s play has change since the mid 70`s, compared to today's world of play, I know it has changed a lot but would like some thoughts from people please. :/
Two planes!!
Two planes landed in England today...One brought back a group of overpaid,
underachieving footballers. The other brought back seven coffins, each
with the Union Jack draped over them. Footballers play for our country,
soldiers FIGHT for our country. Footballers give ninety minutes,
...soldiers give their lives! I know who I respect more!!! R.I.P our boys. :)

Just watched it & enjoyed every bloody minute of it (except for the bits punctuated by THO`s "I don`t understand" liberally throughout), the cause of the TARDIS exploding has yet to be revealed so the stories not over yet.
You cheeky Sod you exaggerate why not! did not say I don`t understand all the way throughout. >:(

RE: Guitar strings question
My son who is in his 2nd year of a music course and hopefully will be getting his higher national diploma in June/July of next year...has recommended Da`dario or Martin guitar strings im assuming its a steel string guitar. I`d say a medium set (gauge 11`s) but i`d see your tutor as he`ll be able to tell you abit better before buying any because you may buy some to thick, or too light and cause damage to the neck of the guitar.
hope this helps. :)
RE: Fuel prices..again!
OM!!! we only pay 99c a litre....that`s the equivalent to 55p a litre..... :o
RE: got a e2save - o2 cash back deal beware
we have already been had by them, over cash back so has my sister I would stay clear of them for sure. >:(
RE: House insurance
very expensive but direct line are, we were with them years ago, but we change due to them getting expensive, we go with money saving expert now I think we paid about £250 a year for building and contents insurance, for a 3 bed terrace. :)
RE: The things people say...
I`m going to close my eye`s and I`m not going to open them until I`m asleep
This is something I said to my sister one xmas eve, when we were kids and trying to go to sleep, she and I laughed so much it was quite a while before we went to sleep.

RE: The Canadian Thread aka Too Lazy To Blog.
yes I did but who let them take the TV to go box, that should have stayed here. :o
RE: Some questions for any fellow guitar players....
I personally use D`Addario Super Light (Gauge 9) strings on my strat, I like using low guage strings and D`Addario strings are hard to beat.
As for a plectrum, you CANNOT beat a jazz 3, once you use one you never go back to other picks, there small, thick and have a really good point on the end.
This ain`t unicorn, as you can tell this post doesnt contain anything on shower curtains.
Im the son, (haha she`s gonna flip when she reads that)

RE: A few pictures of my daughter Jessica....
Congratulations she is beautiful, brings back memories for me. :)
RE: Anyone here any good at drawing?
James has artistic leanings in music, graphic`s & art.
He likes doing "manga" style but also likes to diversify, he has a samples of his work on his computer, which could be compiled into a portfolio.
He has done a graphic full colour "popup" childrens book as part of his coursework, if your interested pm me or Rass.
RE: Guitar, Drum newbies........
Personally I would suggest getting yourself a real tutor, might be costly but worth it because it aint just about learning a few songs, you gotta learn theory behind it to get the drift.
But I am aware that showmehowtoplay.com is a good website for online learning and £3:50 don`t seem that bad, so if you really want to I guess it aint a bad idea, just buy some guitar learning books to back yourself up. :)
Posted by my totally awsome son, who is in fact a muscian. :) :p
James who is totally cool 8)
