Page 1 of AIRPORT transfers
General Forum
I`m hoping to go to Florida this year (went last year and loved it) we stayed in the international drive area and after searching and searching we found the same hotel we stayed in last year (doubletree) and flight on sunshine.co.uk (are these any good, went through a link on quidco) for a great price the only snag is they do not supply airport transfer and this has got us slightly worried we checked on the Mears transport site and they had airport shuttle transfer for approx £40 for 3 of us which we thought was a great price. Although we used Mears taxis etc for Disney last year I`m wondering if its a risk sorting out our own transportation to the hotel, has anybody used a airport transfer before and any advice will be appreciated. Thanks
to be honest in the states just get a taxi, that have set rates from the airports...

They are a really friendly lot and will help with transfer and other questions you have. I booked over the net - if I can find/remember the company I will let you know - worked out about $100 return in our own private car for 2 of us. Dont get a cab, as you will probably know, none of the companys have fixed prices and to get to the doubletree you wil hit the top of I-drive which can be a nightmare in the evening. When are you going?

Are you flying in to Orlando International or Sanford? Sanford is about 30 miles from I-Drive so I would expect a shuttle to be better value from there.
I can`t comment from experience as I have always rented a car/van.

Were flying into Sanford so it looks like the cheapest option at the mo will be shuttle
