omg! The Apartment (1960) I haven`t seen that one on the telly in years, oh maybe I missed it. And All about Eve wow an oldie is that the one with Betty Davies famous line sayin, It`s going to be a bumpy night?

They might as well have called it: 50 Films to Watch on Film 4 this Year

It was one long advertisement for the films showing on that channel.

2. The Apartment (1960) - A good movie but not to warrent a number 2 place

3. City Of God (2002) - Excellent

4. Chinatown (1974) - Good but crap ending

5. Sexy Beast (2000) - Without Ben Kingsley this would be an average gangster flick

6. 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) - Excellent

7. North By Northwest (1959) - Excellent

8. A Bout De Souffle (1959)

9. Donnie Darko (2001) - Wasn`t impressed

10. Back To The Future (1985) - Excellent

11. Alien (1979) - Excellent even the directors cut

27. The Breakfast Club (1985) - What`s so brillient about a bunch of middle class
suburban rich kids moaning about how hard their life is?)

28. Fanny And Alexander (1982) - Overlong and very boring

29. Pink Flamingos (1972) - Fun if a little twisted

30. All About Eve (1950) - Okay but I`ve seen better bitch movies

31. Scarface (1983) - Excellent

32. Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) - Excellent

33. Three Colours: Blue (1993) - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

34. The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) - Overrated

35. The Ladykillers (1955) - Excellent

36. Fight Club (1999) - An anti-corporate movie made by the biggest corporate movie
studio in the world owned by Ruper Murdoch, still a good movie, if not contradicting.

37. The Searchers (1956) - Excellent

38. Mulholland Drive (2001) - Good

39. The Ipcress File (1962) - Okay film, not as good as Bond.

40. The King Of Comedy (1983) - Another okay movie

41. Manhunter (1986) - Had some great moments, if you can get over the cheesy 80s Miami Vice feel.

42. Dawn Of The Dead (Director`s Cut) (1978) - Excellent

43. Princess Mononoke (1997) - Excellent

44. Raising Arizona (1987) - I could think of better Coen movie than this

45. Cabaret (1972) - Hmmmm

47. Brazil (1985) - Excellent even better than 1984 with John Hurt

48. Aguirre, The Wrath of God (1972) - Okay

49. Secrets & Lies (1996) - Typical kitchen sink drama.

50. Badlands (1973) - Excellent

What they`re really saying is that, `this is a list of television rights we at channel four/film four have, and this is just one big advertisment on what we`re going to repeat- I mean show this month`.

Half of the movies arn`t even that great let alone see before you die, I can think of films that are far superior than what they`ve listed.
