Damn, scraped my car

What a frickin` idiot.
Out on Saturday night for some sushi and park next to a pillar in the underground car park. it was a bit of a narrow space but nothing I haven`t parked in a hundred times before.
Take a look in my near side mirror and thought `sh*t that was close, just stopped in time`. Inspection of my near side rear wheel arch told a different story, it was scraped down to the white undercoat. Looking at the state of 90% of the pillars in that car park I wasn`t the first to leave my nice metallic paint on one and certainly wont be the last.
It`s a 2000 VW Passat in dark metallic (I know, I know) blue and I don`t really want to remortgage the house to have it done by VW but I guess this is beyond a `chips away` type business and I need a body shop? Would they respray the whole rear wing?

I would think so.

They have to match the paint in (and lacquer it) so they tend to paint up to a where the next wing starts so any mismatch is not obvious. It`s never going to be cheap, I`m afraid, easily £200 unfortunately.

Tell me about it, I clunked Serenity against a solid metal post at a school last week & caved in the corner (beaten the worst out of it now) & ripped off the bumper side panel.

Gutted.

I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

Apple Computer reported today that it has developed computer chips that can be implanted and play music inside women`s breasts.

The music is in stereo, of course. This is considered to be a major breakthrough because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts, and not listening to them.

Is Serenity the name of your horse? :D I seem to recall that Serenity was always being bashed/falling to pieces so perhaps not the best name for your car LOL
