Is Gladiator better than Spartacus personally I prefer Gladiator. I think Stanley Kubrick was highly overrated.

The criterion version of Spartacus is meant to be very good

can`t say that i was that impressed with gladiator,the film was over hyped as per usual

I thought Gladiator was excellent, and I`ve always thought Spartacus were great. If I had to choose one over t`other, I`d probably go for Spartacus as its more thought provoking.

Ben Hur is even better.
