Ah. I'm so fed up..
Last year I was diagnosed with a rare kind of thyroid cancer.. fine. They cut the thyroid out and some cancerous thingies just before Xmas and sent me on my way.
Then about three months ago they decided that they had misdiagnosed me and I have an even rarer cancer.
I go see one lot of specialists and they tell me that I have to have a load of my neck removed, then I go and see another one and they tell me that I don't need to have that done. But then they send me off for more tests.
I'm having to go for MRI scans, CT scans and blood tests on an almost weekly basis.
The last time I went they told me that I had black spots on my lungs, but "only small ones" - presumably that's all right then?
I don't want any commiserations or anything like that.. I just find it hard to talk about it to people 'out loud' if you know what I mean, and sometimes I just need to bang on about it.. .
Some days I feel very mortal.. this is one of those days..
Sorry chaps. I suppose I should put it on a blog..

bang on about it as much as you want mate!
The worst that could happen is that it makes the rest of us slightly more appreciative of what we have.
Certainly sounds as if they need to get their arses in gear and stop speculating about everything though. Hope you get better news than you are obviously expecting at the moment.
keeping me fingers crossed for you :-) (although that obviously makes typing this rather awkward)

Nah, put it here. This would probably be the first place I would head for.
Funnily enough (cos I know the score) I was sitting here wondering how things were going with you only five minutes ago. I pressed on "refresh" and, bump, there you are.
Spooky.

Vent as you see fit man, worry not about us but about yourself - do what you need to do
Seems to me you maybe need to tell these doctors to stop p***ing about and sort it out as its your well being that is at stake.
All the best, fingers crossed for ya, I am sure there is plenty of reviewer support here for you should it be needed

Put two doctors in a room and you will get three differenet diagnoses.
Put three Doctors in a room & watch the Gallifreyians bicker & bitch.
All the best Whoot.
I consider myself an optimist, albeit an optimist with cynical tendencies and a dark side that Lucifer himself would find a little creepy. (Perhaps you've noticed.) You don't normally associate cynicism with an upbeat pov. But I have exactly that combination and will defend it.

F*** me and I thought I was in a bad way with laryngitis (sp) certainly puts life into perspective - keep yer pecker up mate!
Whoot, don`t even think about apologising. Our community here is what friends are for.
I`ve got a genetic problem which has left me getting progressively more disabled. I just fight against it and tell myself its had all it`s getting out of me. >:(
Take care mate and keep on kicking its arse.
This may be a pointless post, but I honestly don`t know what to say. :/
