i think thats a good thing, he just wasnt the right manager for me, sam alladice or martin o neil i think it must be
Quite releaved actually, he just didn`t feel quite right for the job IMHO :D
martin o neil.... I`ve nothing against him, in fact I like him but, England manager I don`t know. Yes he did reasonable at Leicester & went to Celtic & did well but the oposition is poor as we all know. Even the new manager for Celtic Gordon Strachan has finished top & he took Coventry down from the premiership. To me he is unproven.
Allardyce won`t appreciate the media scrutiny any more than Scolari did in just two days.
Though at least he`s open about actually wanting the job, everyone else in the frame seems equivocal.
For me O`Neill would have been the best choice if we`re going for a `UK` manager.
An English manager? Ought to be McLaren if only to prove the FA`s `grooming` structure wasn`t a total failure.
It`s a complete mess though, isn`t it?
Mind you this Scolari episode could be a Red Herring. Could also be doing it to get more money.
Personally I think they should have Wenger with Maureen as assistant, that`l leave Manchester United to Rule the premiership as it should be.
just when we`re debating the best English manager...can anyone tell me who was the last English manager to win the League (and it was pre-Premiership!!!)?

It was Howard Wilkinson with Leeds in 1992, the year before the Premiership started.
So far the Premiership has only been won by Scottish, French & Portuguese managers. and there`s no sign of anyone English achieving it in the foreseeable future.
Well if Howard Wilkinson is an example of an English Manager then I want foreign.
