Off Topic - Gameboy Advance

OK so it`s nothing to do with DVD but just bought myself a GBA (sad - I know!!) and was wondering if there is any kind of region code thingy on these machines.

Just that I noticed DVDBoxOffice has loads of games (not available in UK as far as I am aware) for a pretty decent price. Just wondering if these would work on a UK GBA?

Any help would be appreciated. TIA. Cheers

Hi,

The games have NO region coding of any kind, I have US games for mine and they work great.

John.

F-Zero is better than the SNES version, and is very smoooooth.

Castlevania is huge, has wonderful gameplay, and so far, I`ve clocked 10 hours on it. But you`ll need to make sure you have plenty of light behind you to play that one!

Mariokart Super Circuit is superb. 20 new tracks + all 20 SNES ones too.
It comes out UK on 14th Sept.

The only type of region coding is in the link-up elements of the game, but it`s hard to tell which ones.
IE F-Zero UK links to F-Zero Jap/US no problem but Mariokart has to be linked to a cart from the same territory!

Doom comes out end of october. Can`t wait!

Check out Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 for the GBA you won`t be disappointed!

They have managed to pack just about everything from the Play Station version in there and even got around the fact that the original version was in 3D... nice :o)

Final Fight is also worth a look (import only at the moment) for an arcade perfect version of this classic beat-em up.
