Aiding Labour - (Pregnancy not Politics)
Anyone have any tips/advice for (naturally) inducing labour - heir number 2 is due and my better half is getting a bit anxious and would like to speed things along a bit. It`s starting to get to me too and I`m doing everything here in work (except work) to stop thinking about it (he says scanning his posts on the forums today)... ;-)

...and for the wife?
RE: Aiding Labour - (Pregnancy not Politics)
hello,
Pizza hut garlic mushrooms and a pepperoni pizza (with extra pepperoni and anchovies) did the trick for my wife, 2 hours later she was squeezing young Daniel out. :D
One word of caution though, once she gets into the breathing part of labour, she`ll stink out the maternity ward...the poor nurses` eyes were watering from the strong garlic stench.
Neil.

I`ve been surrounded by babies popping out of various friends this year and they have all recommended a good strong curry...the mothers, not the babies.
and of course, there`s always sex...apparently it helps...something to do with the muscular contractions when you laugh. :p

I long walk walk can help. But the one sure-fire way of making a natural labour commence is to make plans to go out/to the cinema/out to dinner. Sod`s law intervenes and bob`s your uncle

Bumpy car ride aparently will do the trick.
I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

sex helps, the chemicals in sperm apparently. walking, get her to wqalk as much as she can. helps the baby engage. Best of luck. Really the baby will come when it`s ready. Mine was a week overdue, but perfectly cooked. X

Get yourself engrossed in a really good film, or be enjoying some nectar of the gods, and the wee one will be along. Number 1 arrived halfway through Reservoir Dogs, and number 2, ( 5 weeks old today b.t.w.) whilst washing down a suprisingly good asda ready meal with some Stella Artois.
Can`t help with the spunk chemicals, `er indoors hasn`t let me near her for three months. Well, I am hung like a rhino.
