Does anyone seriously believe that Live8 is more than a chance for lost of rich musicians to show how they`re doing `their bit` by banging out a few tunes? It seems to me like Live8 is just a big concert to make people feel good about themselves without doing much to deal with the situation. Live AID did make a big difference but, now, we`ve seen the images on TV so many times that we`ve become desensitized to the situation. The other thing that p*sses me off is people like Bono going on about third world debt whilst wearing £100 sunglasses. I`m not saying the guy isn`t entitled to spend his money how he wants but, it seems to me to be somewhat audacious to complain about debt whilst raking in millions of pounds a year and doing promo ads for billion dollar companies.

Thing is it needs a high profile face or two that people are familiar with to push buttons with the powers that be. After all who would listen to me if i had the same ideals and he could be like lots of people in his position and do bugger all....
