RE: MVC Clearance Sale
I just picked up Murder One Series 1 for £13.99 (both seasons are available for £19.99). Got Life in the freezer for £5.99 and Lord of the rings ROTK for £12.99. There are lots of films for between £2 and £5 in general and a lot of cheaps CDs. Don`t expect to find a brand new release or xbox title cheap though.

RE: XBox Bargins every hour this Sunday - It`s Started....
I think there`s too many whingers on here. In any case, like you said £15 for a year to xbox + headset is pretty damned good, conker for £12.99 is brilliant especially as most places still charge £32 for it. Both arrived this morning. That`s fantastic. Remember, those of you who are still crying, it was a promotion, not a giveaway, it`s not like it costed you anything. Turds.

RE: XBox Bargins every hour this Sunday - It`s Started....
I think that promotion was brilliant. They weren`t stingy. Stingy would have been not having the promotion at all! I checked on the hour and managed to buy 2 things, a xbox live starter pack for £14.99 and Conker for £12.99. Brilliant. I had to enter my credit card details for the live starter pack and had to cross my fingers due to the heavy traffic for conker. Very pleased with that. Brilliant. I was watching and could have got an XBOX quite easily as they took their time to go down but, no point for me. That was the best online promotion in a while!

RE: Living Alone
I guess if you live with someone then having a day on your own is quite nice. But, if you live alone then I`m sure it gets pretty lonely. When my wife was away for a week on a course, I hated it, felt so lonely. I guess it comes down to whether you`re the sort of person that needs others or is happy on your own. Personally, I`m happy enough sitting in front of the TV playing a game and knowing that someone else is in the house in another room doing something else.

Live 8
Does anyone seriously believe that Live8 is more than a chance for lost of rich musicians to show how they`re doing `their bit` by banging out a few tunes? It seems to me like Live8 is just a big concert to make people feel good about themselves without doing much to deal with the situation. Live AID did make a big difference but, now, we`ve seen the images on TV so many times that we`ve become desensitized to the situation. The other thing that p*sses me off is people like Bono going on about third world debt whilst wearing £100 sunglasses. I`m not saying the guy isn`t entitled to spend his money how he wants but, it seems to me to be somewhat audacious to complain about debt whilst raking in millions of pounds a year and doing promo ads for billion dollar companies.

Spreadshirt Voucher Code - EyeCandy
Spreadshirt is a tshirt company that prints tshirts designed by various sellers. I found a voucher code to be used on their site (enter it into the voucher code section during checkout). PCSPEN9 and you`ll get a £3 discount.
I do have my own SpreadShirt site (EyeCandy) with my own tshirt designs which I hope you will like... it can be found at http://eyecandy.clearbluedolphin.com - it`s only just opened so any comments are appreciated. I don`t get paid a penny for any clicks on that link (which forwards to my spreadshirt site - http://www.spreadshirt.net/shop.php?sid=71411) so please visit to see the designs or pass it on to anyone you think may like it. I do, however make between £1 and £2 per shirt sold depending on the designs since they`re done by me. I`m being upfront so please don`t harass me for it since I am being honest! AND NO.. I`m not a huge business using this place to advertised, I`m a regular user trying to make a bit of cash from the net in an honest way. :)
Alternatively, you can visit spreadshirt directly and use the voucher in any other spreadshirt shop - www.spreadshirt.co.uk

RE: Appalling LOVEFiLM service
LoveFilm are totally and uttler sh*t. It`s the only honest way to sum up their service. When I was on the trial, the postal service lost a disc. I e-mailed them and they made me wait 7 days. After that time, they said I had to fill in forms before they sent me any more discs... that took another 7 days to arrive. The fact that they don`t even provide a phone number (well, they never used to) shows how arrogant they are. Dvds365 were much better and they have a phone number. WHSmith`s service is provided by LoveFilm but, they give you and 0800 number. In any case, I found a local store (yes.. real shop) that gives me unlimited game and film rentals for £12 per month! 3 at a time and I can change them as many times as I wanted... even rent 3 in the morning and swap them in the evening. That`s much better + I get to pick exactly what I want.
RE: Apprentice UK DVD?
I`d be surprised if they didn`t release it.
RE: freeview boxes? hackable or not ???
You chump! Like I wrote previously, I never called the chump a chump because he didn`t know how to hack it, I called him a chump because he wanted to hack it. Chump and chump chops.
RE: freeview boxes? hackable or not ???
It`s the fact that you want to hack it that makes you a chump, not that you don`t know how to hack it. CHUMP.
RE: freeview boxes? hackable or not ???
You are a prize chump.
RE: Tesco Profits break £2bn - Good or Bad? Discuss.
I think that as well BUT, you don`t have to shop there.. nobody forces you. We shop there because we prefer to pay less and as such are just as guilty of screwing the farmers as Tesco are. If you don`t want to screw the farmers, shop at Waitrose. I have shares in tesco so I`m happy but, personally, I think the quality of fruit and meat at Waitrose or Marks is better. You pay more, you get better quality.
RE: Free Tickets JIMMY CARR
Since they lost Graham Norton, they`ve been using this turd to front all their shows. Jimmy Carr isn`t anywhere near as funny as Graham Norton and, the Friday night project is utter sh*te.
Marks & Spencer Sale
HI... My local Marks & Spencer (in Staines) has started to reduce various items of women`s clothing and so far some men`s formal shirts, and trousers. Various men`s shirts were £5 with others at £9.
W.H. Smith and their meaning of In Stock
I placed two orders via the W.H. Smith website. Both items were marked as "in stock" when I placed the order but, after my card was authorised, the status of each of the items (via the Your Orders section) was On Order. I phoned them to ask why the item is marked as on order for me, when it`s termed as in stock on the website. They told me items are marked as out of stock manually! What major website manually updates stock, it should be automatic. So, basically, if W.H. Smith state that an item is in stock, that may well be a lie because today, two days after I complained, the items are still in stock but, actually on order.
RE: Warning about LoveFilm
Lovefilm and all the other companies should pay closer attention to the state of returned DVDs and charge people for large scratches or dirt. It`s disgusting. Aside from this if they send me a dirty disc and I attempt to clean it (on my shirt truthfully because it`s not mine and they didn`t have the thought to clean it themselves) it`ll just get scratched. Surely if they take care of them, everyone wins. Blockbuster are the worst for sending DVDs with big scratches on.
Nina - Email kerry evetts (see my first few posts in this thing) and she should be able to help. I recently complained to the post office after 3 DVDs with my address on were delivered to the house next door. The postman doesn`t even push the DVDs right through the letter box, he leaves them half in half out. That`s just dumb.
RE: Anti-Bargain! CD-WOW cracking down on multiple discounts!
I agree. Had some good deals but it`s fair enough.
RE: Warning about LoveFilm
Blockbuster always sent my top titles to me, and mine were always the latest releases. Lovefilm have been good in sending the latest titles as well.
RE: Warning about LoveFilm
Their customer service is sh*te. E-mail stteve.yrrek[at].moc.mlifevol She was pretty good at getting sorted out. How can a proper service not have a phoneline to sort issues out? That`s no good in my opinion. I`d never again use a company that doesn`t have the resources or want to deal with their customers in a proper way. E-mail only isn`t very good. Blockbuster are just as bad for dealing with customers. VideoIsland and their MSN and Tesco rentals are the best.
Warning about LoveFilm
I`m on the LoveFilm trial at the moment. They were generally good at sending out the top titles on my list etc... and then, after 1 week 1 of the titles they sent never arrived. So, after waiting four days, I e-mailed them telling them a disc they`d posted later had arrived and the previous one had not. About 24 hours later they replied telling me to wait a bit longer which meant that I`d had to wait 7 days in total. After this, I told them it hadn`t arrived. They informed me that I`d have to fill in some forms and wouldn`t receive any more DVDs until this had been resolved. Three days later I still hadn`t received any claim forms to fill in and they don`t haven`t responded to any of my e-mails. There isn`t even a contact phone number.
You find out how good a company really is when something goes wrong so...beware of LoveFilm because their customer service is clearly lacking. According to the FAQ if a disc doesn`t arrive then they will resend it, it appears to me as though their actual policy is to treat the customer like a thief and then to ignore the customer. I`ll inform my credit card company not to make any payments to them because I don`t trust this company at all. The lack of a phone number is also not very impressive since it leaves me in a position where I cannot do anything. If anyone has a contact number for them, I`d appreciate it. Thanks.
Smacking Children
What do you guys think about smacking children? Personally, I believe that beating kids is wrong but, I think a smack does help prevent bad behaviour. With all these people being politically correct and saying "It`s wrong to hit children" etc... don`t they look around at the behaviour of kids today? There`s no respect for people anymore and that`s partially because of the fact that kids have everything nowadays, parents are forced to work 2 jobs to make ends meet, and parents aren`t as strict as their parents were. What are your views on this?

RE: Bargain Buckets forum
Bargain buckets is being ruined by people asking as opposed to finding and also by people posting bargains which aren`t bargains... i.e. when bought with CD-WOW voucher. That`s like me saying bargain, got my shopping for free at tesco when I paid with my £30 worth of clubcard vouchers. Who really cares if someone used a voucher, why do people spunk in their pants with excitement that they think they were smart enough to use a voucher and, for that matter, who hasn`t used these vouchers? Twats.
