There`s the old saying that there`s no smoke without fire...... But then I`m not too inclined to take what the Yanks say at face value either, at least without knowing more about their evidence to support their conclusion that he was on the take.

Ok Libel it is then. I just find it hard to bellieve Galloway. He says he has tried to contact them on many ocation to sort this out. They say he has never contacted them by any means, even carrier pigeion. Well Galloway, show us the phone/E-mail records to help clear this all up.

Surely someone who got as much money as a certain newspaper wrongly claimed he had got from the Iraq war, would live in a nicer house, have a nicer car, better quality suits...?

Oft quoted quote (as it were). Never really sure what to make of it, although as he was recorded on TV so cannot deny he said these things, and has since claimed that he was actually addressing the Iraqi people and not Saddam (funny way of saying it then) then perhaps he`s just a bit oif a naive fool. (Also, he completely dismisses any idea of increased Welsh influence in Europe, something I`m quite keen on, as according to him, the Welsh aren`t really a people. Perhaps we should get ourselves a dictator, have tens of thousands slaughtered and then George will be the best friend of the Welsh as well)...but I digress.

Having said all that, I hope he gives the US Senate what they deserve :-) ..assuming he has nothing to hide. He appears happy to go over there and defend himself, although I suspect he`s just going to use the opportunity to slag off the Americans when he has the biggest audience he`s ever encountered. He may just come out of this looking a little stupid.

I can`t say I like him, but I think he`s honest and cares about the Iraqi people.
And if you wanted to do anything their to help the people while Saddam was in charge you had to suck up to him. Going in and calling him a Fat murdering b*stard and giving him a Glasgow head butt, was not likely to work was it. Get you killed, yes.

How many times have we heard of the things the Americans get up to in their two houses to get money put in the areas they represent, that over here would be classed fraud, blackmail etc.

Also given at the start of these little wars of George the 2nd of America, the White house let slip they would use black propaganda (i.e. tell lies), to get the world on their side. Personal I think the spooks over there were trying to help friend Blair out and as usual screwed up. I don`t thing they realised that over here you don`t have to be a multimillionaire to become an MP. Something you have to be over their to get into public office.

I mean where does the evidence come from. Iraqis held by the Americans who will say whatever they are told to get an easy ride. Or from looted building where the documents of evidence against him just happen to be lying on top of the pile waiting for the US secret service to find.

Give me a break!
Moron may be the nation designate for an American, but we are a bit more savvy over here.

George Galloway is a publicity seeking cretin.
He stood in the election and knowingly played on the racial/religion issue.
The seat he stood for has a very large Muslim community and as such he knew full well that his anti-war stance would ensure he had a massive turnout of support for him.
So the BNP and other right wing parties are vilified for their stance, rightly so IMHO, yet Gorgeous George plays the same card/ trick and f*** all is said. The man is an arsehole, pure and simple.
In every group, work place there is always an ar**hole who wants to hear himself/herself speak and this publicity seeking rectum is just another one of those.
I despise Galloway and only hope that in the fullness of time people may see that he is not the man they believe he is and see him for the self obsessed scheitte bag he really is.
