Dont you just love fridays?
Long, boring day at work, got home and got a call from the g/f - hurrah! - only to get dumped.
Bugger.
Only been going out 2 months, but got pretty involved pretty quickly. I don`t hate her for it, said now just wasn`t the right time for us - I know she`s had a lot on her plate lately with work, friends, unresolved issues with her ex (though of course now part of me wonders if she`s cheated, even though there`s been no sign) but feel like crap all the same.
God, it`s been a good few years since I`ve been dumped, forgot what a downer it is! Need some cheering up - suggest me a guaranteed laugh on DVD!
Or I might nip to the pub for a few with a mate, drown the sorrows. Decisions, decisions...
pop to the offie, last thing you need is a load of `well-wishers` telling you what they really thought of her - they never seem to do that when you`re involved. Funny, that.
As fer the DVD.. Dodgeball, spaceballs, galaxy quest...
Actually, if you really want a laff, rent out a comedy you haven`t seen yet. It`s finnier if you haven`t heard the gags before

Same thing happened to me in February. My relationship of 12 months was put to an end in a phone call. I`m still finding it difficult today. I think the only thing that really helps is time, not alcohol.

RE: Alone again, naturally...
I could get all serious and try and offer sympathy (you dont need it, trust me)
A good drink and social never goes amiss so I`d def be down the pub with the mate, however only thing I find that really works. . .slap in some "hard core" and take the edge off the proceedings meantime.
All the best

Well, thanks for the advice guys!
So far - a few mates, a few cans, a couple of rather heroic spliffs, and Robin Williams Live on Broadway. Superb.
F*cking starving now though...
zrrifle - will attend to the hardcore tomorrow, cheers for the tip ;)
