I ordered the Matrix from www.dv-depot.com and received it within a week. I have seen in Mags that they have a good reputation but are not the cheapest.

When ordering your credit card will convert $ at a rate below the exchange rate ( you will have to check will your card company) and/or a %.

I have just used www.dvdpricesearch.net to find the cheapest region 1 disc of "Deep Impact" which was with www.video-now.com. I dont know if they are any good as I have not received my disc yet.

Remember that any order over £18 is liable to Import Tax( I dont know what the rate is?) and Vat. You may get away without paying but don`t count on it.

Thanks for your help. A lot of useful info. Sounds like I`ll be sticking with Admit-One and Play 247 though, thus doing away with import duty. I can recommend them both but Admit one is a bit slow.

Cheers again.

Am I right in saying that you don`t have to worry about import duty if you order from Play247? I believe they ship from Jersey. Any clarification on this would be useful.

Karl.

Anything from play under £18 will be safe,

Not sure how they are going to handle the discs that are over £18

Just had email from Play saying that I would not be liable for import duty or taxes on their discs. Anybody had experience with discs over £18 from Play?

Have they actually got any disks that are retailing for over £17.99?

Peter.

Peter,

I was thinking of the box sets like Jurassic Park and Toy Story.

I Think these are R2, therefore not subject to the KNOCK!

Admit One is the one for you guys they stock anything and no import duty or anything. There selection is unrivalled except for amazon.com but delivery is quite slow but generally two weeks and the site is not very well designed but I`ve ordered many times and they`ve never let me down.
