Amsterdam recommendations?

Ascomdog (Elite) posted this on Friday, 12th November 2004, 20:47

I`m off to Amsterdam next week, for a couple of days, on business. Has anyone got any suggestions as to what to see, where to go?

You cant go wrong by visiting the Banana Bar.....when i was there there was a show on called "50 things to do with a banana" all demonstrated by this very agile young lady :o

Or, you could try going round the Van Gogh museum, Anne Franks house etc!

Not really! You could be typical English tourist scum, or a semi-normal human being!

What happens if I decide to go to the Van Gogh museum, Anne Frank`s etc, & then onto the Banana Bar? Would that make me sophisticated scum?

Lucky you! It`s a brilliant city - you`ll love it.

We`ve just got back from Amsterdam so might be able to help. Although we spent the majority of our time in the various coffee shops!! :p

Have you been before and will you be alone or with others? I`ve been 3 times now, so let me know and I might be able to come up with a couple of suitable suggestions.
