Page 1 of DIDN`T BUY SCAN PLAYER-BOUGHT APEX-600!

after all the negative responses i received by mentioning i was thinking of buying the Scan-SC 2000 player i finally decided to trust you all and spend £100 more on a recognised top-quality player ie.the Apex-600! (from www.ionark.com) as it was out of stock i`ll have to wait a bit longer for it [max.3 weeks :-( ] hopefully it`ll be worth it! let me know what you think of my decision or of the Apex-600 itself!

HITACHI 505 = £270 multi no macro
Manhattan = £180 more powerful sc 2000.

I believe americans pick this player up for about 115 pound`s thats why they buy it!

It has an average rating on the review site of 3.33 against my hitachi of 4.15?

The newer current Apex 600 unit is far more difficult to make multi region than the old firmware models I`m afraid.

Hope you get the model manufactured before Jan 2000 or you will have problem in hacking it to multi-region. Anyway, there are a lot of region 1 discs available here in UK. I have the same model bought in the US and I am very satisfied with its performance, esp. the karaoke features which made me decide to buy it. I hope we exchange notes whoever discover first the correct hack for this player. If you need my email address I could give it to you. I am still searching for hacking solutions.
