...The Emirates Stadium.
Talk about selling your history. You`d never get the true North Londoners down the road doing anything like that at "Choose Persil to get your white`s REALLY White" Hart Lane.

My collection
"The Emirates Stadium" is an anagram of "smuttier times ahead". Are there more alleged revelations about Mr Wenger to come out? ;)
RE: Arsenal Name New Ground...
Any Gooners out there should do what the Leicester fans did when they wanted to call our new stadium the Walkers Bowl. Say no. Fan power can work.
All the best,
The 42%er.
It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

Fan power can work.It can`t, I would imagine, when there`s £100m at stake....

Emirates Airlines will be sponsoring AFC - a 15 year deal apparently so they are obviously going to put a lot of cash into the club (which will go a long way to paying for the new stadium). Part of the deal is that they want their name in lights.
I suspect most fans will ignore the commercial name of the new stadium and simply refer to it as Ashburton Grove or New Arsenal Stadium. Money talks these days but its a pity they couldnt name it the Herbert Chapman Stadium or something more historically relevant.

RE: Arsenal Name New Ground...
it doesnt surprise me that the english club can sell its ground name, because lets face it.the teams full of french and spanish and when the youngsters come through, there wont be any english players playing for the arse.
RE: Arsenal Name New Ground...
It`s got Chelsea written all over it !!!!
disgraceful
But why stop with the stadium name?
Wot about players?
Offer enough money, and it`ll be `oh, fabulous goal by Thierry Emirates, blasts it past the Man U keeper Roy `M&S wish you a very merry Christmas` Carroll...`
