I recently bought two siam ruby discus fish. Basically they`ve got a red body and ayellow head. The problem I`m having is that they are beginning to loose their red colouring! :( Their diet is good with lots of blood worms and a pH of 6.5 and peat extract for the water. Does any1 know what I can do to prevent the colour loss?????? :/ :/ Thanx in advance

You tried feeding them Tetra Ruby ? Usually has good results with colourful fish. Do ask around as Mark suggests though, might be something not quite right with them.

HI tried feeding them on tetra prima and that`s generally the recommendation from the shop but they don`t like it much and prefer the live food. Apparrently they may have been hormone treated to make them more colourful :o There is a food specifically made to bring the red colouration back by Hikari. Has anyone used this and wot were the results? I`m going to give this a try anyway. Thanks for the advice :) :)
