Pre-movie warnings re Smoking & Phones - What`s the music?

Jim Morrison (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 21st March 2004, 17:40

You know when you go to see a movie at the cinema and before it kicks off there`s that advert warning about No Smoking, Switch Your Mobile Off etc etc? Well does anyone know what the name of the catchy tune is that plays in the background?

What cinema chain do you go to?

My local is a Cineworld and the No Smoking/Talking/Mobile Phones thing is a shoddy CG creation, and the music is not what I`d call catchy. It`s w***!

Have they cut the bit out in your version of the sequence where she smashes the heads together of the two people who are talking? I reckon there must have been complaints...

In my local UGC first they tell me to "see it my way" so out comes the ciggies, cans of beer and munchies (all with noisy wrappers), then they go on to tell me I cant smoke, drink my own drink or add my own "sound effects" ie noisy sweet, wrappers, coughing or talking.

I just wish they would make thier minds up, thier war and my way seem to be mutually exclusive.

Credo!

Erm... yeah I know. But I wasn`t asking if it had just started happening.

Yeah, I noticed that a while ago, but I`m sure they changed something else too... I just can`t figure out what. :/

My local Cineworld always messes up the aspect ratio. The last five films I`ve seen have had to be stopped after a few minutes so the monkey (sorry, projectionist) can sort it out. P***es me right off! >:(

There she blows!

I am sat listening to a quiz on the radio last night when one of the questions goes:

"Listen to this music, and where would you hear it?"

There it is! He plays it! Straight away the conetestant goes "At the cinema."

Anyway it`s owned by Pearl & Dean, some cinema advertising company, it`s called Asteroid by Pete Moore. Only lasts 20 seconds or so but I have it now for what I needed it for. A quick Google and you can download it.

Apparently it`s really famous and I am spud to not know it.

What about the one they show at Showcase with the dancing drinks and popcorn and all the neon lights - anyone know what I mean?
