I am thinking of buying some solar lights for my garden, can anyone reccomend some good ones.
Thanks
I don`t know if they`re any good or not, but my local Homebase is doing a "buy one get one free" offer on them, which makes them about £13 for two, if memory serves...
I thought about them, but having spoken to 2 people who did I don`t think I`ll bother.
They say they are very very poor. :(
My parents have had all sorts of the solar lights and they have nothing but contempt for them I`m afraid! They only just light up enough to be seen if you squint hard and it`s a clear evening! They bought some wired ones from Focus recently as they have a 50% off sale for exterior lighting at present. Some nice gear there too.
Good luck...Flyer...
They`re fine for marking the edge of a path or being dotted around the garden. Just don`t expect them to illuminate anything ;)

Do not be alarmed. That strange sound is simply
my mind boggling.
they r pretty naff they use orange l.e.d.s ok for hi lighting plants but no good for proper lighting best ones to get r the 12v transformer fed sets usually bout "£25 for 4 with wiring etc u dont need to be electrically competent either ;)
Don`t go anywhere near solar lights, they are useless. To be honest, the things should not ever have been released onto the market, as they barely give off enough light to register.

I have some solar garden lights which edge my rockery. They give off a pretty bright light - slightly bluish white - and for simple ornamental use, they`re fine. They actually contain a rechargeable AA battery and in the summer stay on all night.
