I called a certain DVD e-tailer to enquire about the SMART DVD 3000.
(The SMART IS 300 QUID, has MP3 & VHS CONVERTER)
I was transferred to the technician, who immediatley talked me out of it, he said the SMART was a well spec`d player with a good picture but its build quility was poor, making the player unreliable.
He then told me his company was going to dump the SMART for a player he was testing right now, which is built by the same company who built the smart YELO, The techy told me he was very impressed, and due to the problems with the SMART he has even dropped this new one from 6 feet (I think that was a joke:) ).
The New player externally looks just like the SMART but it is Black (The smart does look good) and is going to retail for 200.
I am not sure if it is VHS friendly, but if it is This is serious assualt on the Budget player market!
I will keep you posted.
I have not mentioned names so I can be accused of Advertising.

8 out of 10 for the scans picture! First batch second batch it doesnt matter what batch!

As we have said many times, our review unit was from the first batch. You may know that DVD Monthly (Aug 2000) said "For the price, the SC-2000 is an exceptional bargain" and Ultimate DVD (Aug 2000) rated it at 5/5!
I would also suggest you refrain from libel.
