I know bbfc.co.uk list which films have had cuts made, but is there anywhere I can find out what the contents of the cuts are?

IMDb are usually good at listing what is missing in "alternate versions" :)
Just search a film and then on the menu bar at the side you will see "trivia" and "goofs", and just below them is "alternate versions". It`s about 90% accurate!
