RE: THE RETURN OF THE KING OPINIONS!!!!!!!
I was sorely disapointed. Totally over hyped and the worst of the three films, with a script that would make George Lucas blush. Also, what happened to the special effects? At times Gollum resembled Morph.
As if.

LOL - you got me, neal.
RE: THE RETURN OF THE KING OPINIONS!!!!!!!
Absolutely astonishingly fantastic!!
Probably the best film I`ve ever had the priviledge of seeing.
From the script to the acting to the effects, everything was perfect.
It far exceeded all my expectations and I can`t wait to see it again.
The last 2 hours just disappear. It really did make the Battle at Helm`s Deep seem like a skirmish.
My eyes did fill up and a tear actually fell :o so it also made me cry. Not easy to do.
Fantastic stuff, when`s part IV ;-)

soooooooon, just a.....few.......more.......hours!!!
RE: THE RETURN OF THE KING OPINIONS!!!!!!!
I have to wait until tomorrow afternoon. But I`ll be seeing it at least 3 times before Sunday (all on me UGC card) :D
Unless of course it`s crap :p
But seriously, Fellowship and TTT are simply magnificent achievements in cinema and from the story in the book and the reviews I`ve read, The Return of the King could be the best of the three (which would make it hands down the best film released this year... even just being better than TTT it would achieve that status).
I think next Christmas will be very sad indeed with no Lord Of The Rings. But we have Bruckheimer`s King Arthur, and Keira Knightley`s in that, so all is not lost :D

RE: THE RETURN OF THE KING OPINIONS!!!!!!!
Has Bruckheimer ever made a good film that remains good on repeat viewings? Sure, things like Armageddon and Con Air were fun, but cannot be even mentioned in the same breath as LOTR. Shame on you! :-P
Hopes for next year include Troy, Alexander, Harry Potter and the Prizoner of Azkaban, Garfield (don`t be another Cats & Dogs...), Pixar`s The Incredibles (or is it Cars?), The Ladykillers, Kill Bill Vol. 2, Collateral, Big Fish, Hellboy, The Polar Express and Shrek 2.

Hellboys the only film im looking forward to next year. And Kill bill of course, but does that count?
Oh.....and ROTK is an oscar shoe in. If not the jury should only be allowed to watch Earnest goes to Camp and Young Einstein on rotation for the rest of their lives.

RE: THE RETURN OF THE KING OPINIONS!!!!!!!
Absolutely stunning. I may have lost feeling in my arse after a few hours but I didn`t care. 3 and a half hours in a cinema just flew by. The cinema was packed, but right before the final battle, when the sound faded, you could hear a mosquito fart in that room. Visually and aurally it was the best yet, and in terms of adaptation for the screen, it completely outclassed Fellowship and especially Two Towers.
It`s hard to say it, but Saruman wasn`t missed at all. Some of the dialogue was a bit iffy though. One moment particularly seemed lifted verbatim from Return Of The Jedi of all movies. ;)
Still, one line out of 3 plus hours.
Peter Jackson has made instant classics. Yeah, i had to wipe away a tear too...

Excuse Me?
Did you not see the words "Keira Knightley`s in that"? ;)
I think that`s all the information any red blooded male needs, and I`m sure she`ll stand up to repeat viewings :D ;)
