Page 1 of Cleaning?? (a bath)
General Forum
I know its a funny question to ask but what is the best cleaner for getting lime scale off the bath. Tried CIF Oxy-gel but does not touch it.
Moving out next week so need to get the place clean.
Any help appreciated

erm.... you tried flash bathroom spray?
soulman
Sulphuric acid works quite well ;)
I think Flash does the hard work, so you don`t have to.

Vigegar works a treat on limescale. No sure how you do a bath (unless you fill it with vinegar :D ). The cleaning ladies on the telly soaked kitchen towel in vinegar, wrapped it round taps and then covered it with cling film (to stop it drying). Leave it for a while before removing and that`s it! Worked really well on our shower head!
Gadsooks! Have we all become completely dependent upon this site to answer all of life`s mysteries? Isn`t this the kind of thing you`d ask your Mum?
Only via a medium in my case. :(

"Lifeguard Limescale Remover" by Johnson. Corking stuff. Just make sure you don`t drink any by accident! :D
Pah! as said before vinegar is one of the best limescale removers around - white vinegar works better than sarsons!! A lot cheaper too.
Don`t believe I`m doing this but......
BathPower is pretty good. Orange based. Tesco sell it. Best I`ve tried to date.
I agree, Bathpower. Smells good too, and biodegradable to boot. Not cheap mind, but cheaper than the letting agent deduct you for cleaning from your deposit. (They did that to my husband before he moved in with me - and we`d had the whole family, including his Mum, Dad, brothers and sister cleaning all b****y weekend. Wonder why we bothered?!)
