Oh thank christ for that!!!

Just been to the flicks and they`ve FINALLY stopped playing that poxy `Your grandmother`s run off with Derek from the bridge club" advert! A joke`s only funny the first time you hear it, after the 50th time, the advert has all the effect of a pop-up ad.

Now they`re playing those `A Sprite is also a goblin` ads, wonder how long it`ll be before we get sick of that one...

I already am sick of that. Is that official then - have they stopped showing the Coca Cola ad? I never got it the first time... was he being serious or taking the p***? Or is he just senile?

I think it was that after his nephew/grandson/whatever had made him aware that so much had changed since they had last met, he decided to jolly up the situation by turning the tables, kinda, I think... It was crap anyway

i think all adverts are crap and completely pointless. not one of them inspires me to buy the product advertised. if anything it has the opposite as they are a pain in the ass whilst waiting for the film. ive seen films all over the world including thailand, the states and oz and we`re the only ones to have extensive advertising. why...?

I really liked the ad they`ve played in cinemas recently, dunno if they still are, the Volkswagon Polo advert where the bloke goes around looking for a motor I think and the he passes through the years 1977-2002 and it finishes in the future. All the stuff in the background and his surroundings change as the years pass.I thought it was really well made advert. In fact, if you lot know of any way I might be able to get hold of a video/dvd of that let me know.

Ta.

I think all ads shoulf be banned from the cinema...went to see x2 a few weeks back and the ads went on for ages...well into the time that the film was stated to start....i dont pay nearly 6 quid to sit there and watch 35mins of ads before the film starts...dont they make enough money from ticket sales, why so many ads????

by the way it was a uci
