Page 1 of Starwars on VCD, Where?
General Forum
Anyone give us a clue about where i can get starwars etc on VCD, and is it worth getting on VCD
Thanks
I wouldnt bother with any vcd the picture quality is as good as vhs
I have got the phantom menace on vcd it is on two discs and has
chinese sub titles it is an original copy, my wife bought it in hmv
in hong kong last year the sound isnt bad for pro logic but the
picture is a disgrace my vhs copy is better
vcd is huge in china so you need to try and find a site that deals
with china
I know its a joke but I personaly think you are better of waiting
for the dvds
I also have the Phantom Menace on VCD but not with Subtitles, comes well boxed ( 2 disk)and is an original, though i do agree it`s not that much better than Video. But i do know it`s comming to DVD in March, so you may as well wait.

RE: Starwars on VCD, Where?
Thanks for the info, i think i will wait until, they come out on DVD. Is there any official info to say its coming out in march?
Phantom Menace on DVD in March!!!
March of what year, certainly not this year. That much I can guarantee you.
You`ll be luck if you see it released at all this year.
I own a video rental shop, and our Video Rep tells me that on god information given that it will be out this March / April 2001.
I have not seen this anywhere on the net and may be a rental only release:( But i will keep you informed

Hi There,
I know for a fact that it`s coming out this year(region1) as I already have it on pre-order from Future Entertainment:-
http://www.futureent.com/details.cgi?11799979087624&1&119&fcfea
It does say between 2 - 6 months, but that was posted in November of last year, which could very well mean that it will be out at the end of March or in April.

Erm, this might be wishful thinking on their part. Possibly a lame ploy to get in the pre-orders ahead of everyone else for a title that hasn`t been announced or even confirmed for a release this year.
Studios do not tell retailers about titles more than 3 months in advance, since they don`t actually have proper dates further away than that. Plus I find it hard to believe that Future Entertainment knows when TPM is coming out yet nobody else seems to. ;-)
RE: Starwars on VCD, Where?
Are Future Entertainment very reliable? Have you bought from them before, as I want to start buying my Region 1`s from somewhere other than Play247.com
