Decent offer with Tiscali at the moment, 3 free months if you subscribe to their Anytime service for 12 months, currently £14.99 a month. Does anyone use them at the moment, any problems with not being able to log on or problems with being cut-off etc. ?? Thanks in anticpation ..

Yes i use them for my dialup account and part from a dodgey time christmas last when no one could log on for any reasonable amount of time, i`ve had no problems whatsoever, log on everytime at usuall 49.2 k or slightly more
Tiscali do however have a poor reputation when it comes to customer service, and in the past their billing process ( i went a complete year without being billed!) their technical support i can offer no comment on as i have never had to call them for a damn thing... auto cut off is 2hr, though sometimes i have been logged on for 6 hours at time and not been kicked off, rare but it happens.. but for 14.99 its a damn sight better value than BT`s anytime as long as its our time shambles i left them for....
I am sure other will comment...

Not sure about their Anytime offer, but I just switched to Tiscali Broadband. Had reasonable service so far. The CD they sent out with the adapter was blank but they (eventually) pointed me to a web site where all the drivers etc could be downloaded. It took an age for them to answer the phone though.
If you can get ADSL its worth a look, 20 quid a month for 256K, free adapter, 35 quid connection. Better value than BT.

why not try an isp called fast4 as its only £6.99 per month 24/7 with a 2 hour cutoff but you can reconect straight away.I was with tiscali but i thought they were ripping me off thats why i got this account and i had no problems so far so all is good. www.fast4.net

Re. the last post. Just checked the Fast4.net website and their deal seems too good to be true (or am I just a shmuck paying Freeserve 14.99/mth)

I`ve used Lineone then Tiscali for a few years both on pay per min and the £14.99 per month. Never had a problem, havn`t been cut off after two hours to my knowledge. The only gripe I have is the amount of e-mails they (and their selected partners) send. This is not on when you are paying them. Interestingly Lineone never sent these e-mails it has only started since Tiscali took over. On a plus point they do have valued customer "free" PCgames and DVDs each month, never anything too spectacular but it keeps the kids in new games!
