Page 1 of play247 GONE??

has play shut down? i put an order in with them on the 18th of Dec they took the money but the DVD is still processing!!

they don`t answer the phone OR emails.

i DID have 6 more on order but i have cancelled them, as there pre-orders, i think from now on i`ll buy them from another place.

I have also placed orders for 3 DVDs. They have just put processing on them. I tried phoning today and no dice. I am very disapointed in them if they have shut down. But I was under the impression they were trying to deal with a back-log of orders. It seems I am wrong...

I finally got through to them.

The reason that orders have been delay is that their warehouse got flooded. It sounds like most of the orders are going out at the beginning of the week, well thats what I was told anyways.

Those damn floods are reaching all of us...

I placed orders for 2 cds and 2 dvds on 27/12. The Dvds are still processing (money debited from account on friday). The cds arrived almost a week ago.

Does this mean that the cds are kept in a diferent warehouse to the R1 discs?

I also emailed them, and eventually was told abouth the flooding. Discs were supposedly beginning to leave the warehouse on Friday, but there will be one hell of a backlog!

Nah they are still there....i ordered two disc from them in early Dec.....arrived 3 weeks later. Then ordered some on the 28 dec and they were here on the 3 Jan...so i think they are here to stay !! yippeee. The best thing to come outta Jersey (apart from their cows)

I got shaft today wich was ordered 23/12/00 & sent out friday so i would`nt worry to much

I sent an email to them on the 2nd Jan, and they replied on the 5th, so everything seems OK I guess.

I received League of Gentlemen today 8/1/01, ordered 29 Dec (ish) posted 2 Jan.

The two R1 titles are taking longer but I expect them within the next 7 days. (hopefully)

I ordered two discs on the 28th Dec and they turned up a few days later. But I still have a disc processing which was ordered on 29th Dec. They still haven`t dispatched Hollow Man either.

Flooding of the warehouse would explain why my two discs wrapers were slightly gritty. Disc fine inside though.

Floods or no floods. That is no real excuse for not informing your customers of the situation and why their orders are taking so long to process. Just checked the site and no word of the flooded warehouses anywhere.

So much for customer care.
