Cheers for that.
Incredible. Sign people up on 1 deal and then they change T & C`s afterwards.
I don`t think they can legally do it unless you agree. It is a contract that can`t be changed without mutual agreement until the term (12 months) has expired.
Surely??..
Clayts, what do you think?

Update from the Register: (Great place for IT news)

http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/22/29260.html

Basically it is not as bad as it first sounds, Quoting the artcle:
In a Q&A the company said: "Our objective is only to limit very frequent or persistent heavy network use that can impact other customers. Therefore we will ONLY contact customers who exceed the daily data limit for three or more days in any consecutive 14-day period. If you occasionally exceed your data limit, it will not be a problem."

So not as bad as it first sounds, and lets be realistic here, how often do you actually download more than a gig a day! I have had my BT ADSL for going on 2 years, and there have been maybe 10 days in that time, when I want to download a new Linux iso or something. So this would not be a problem for me.

Ste I do agree that changing T&C is not a good thing, but it goes on all the time, so what are you going to do?

glad i`m not with NTL... but from the noises being made telewest way... blueyonder could follow suit.. at which point they can stick their cable modem up their rectums and i`ll go and lease a T1 from somewhere..

Can you change T & C`s without informing the other party? Don`t think so. Until they tell me, I`m not doing anything about it.
1GB is not a lot. Especially when someone says "here, have as much as you like".. "right thanks for your money and signing up".."Great, by the way you can`t have as much as you like".

was thinking of switching to NTL from BT, and had my doubts about the service - don`t think I`ll bother now
