Looking for a cheap portable recordable Sharp Minidisc player for the girlfriend. Anyone know if there are any going cheap anywhere at the moment. Got a budget of around £100 as that`s how much I paid for mine last summer.
make sure you can pick up a reasonably priced ( is there such a thing? ) extended warranty too as they are very expensive to repair - many shop not even offering to cover them now.
I know Richer Sounds weren`t offering extended warranties on them last time I was in.

Cheers! Problem with the 170 is that you don`t get the AA battery case or the optical recording cable.
I got my MT200 for £100 last summer, anyone know where you can get that or the 190 cheap?
If you live in the London region.. Go to Tottenham court road and you.ll get one very cheap.. Regarding the extended warranties.. If you are spending less than 100gbp personally dont think its worth it.. claim on the household insurance.. these electronic gadgets from my personal experience arent worth getting fixed, they update so quickly (only my opinion though)
If anyone is interested, I plumped for this one from Amazon.

It was at least £160 everywhere else and it has a radio too. This should do the job nicely!
PDK Very nice! Now I`m tempted, got full size Sony MD.
Never bought a portable always been worried about droping it, still very tempting!
Anyway nice buy.
