Word on the street is that Sony are to drop the price of the PS2 to £99 from this Friday, although the likelihood is they will see the performance of sales on the Gamecube.

Retrieving information from old hard drives
I recently bought the Medion PC from Aldi. THe main reason being my old pc packed up, presumably the proicessor, and it just wont fire up at all. I have removed the hard drives from the old pc...how can I retrieve the information?
Sorry not a computer whizz kid, but fairly competent, so keep it fairly straight forward!!

Buy the Packard Bell 5.1 system from PC world for £59.99. The sound is awesome, and definitely the cheapest way to get a fantastic surround sound system in your living room!

Personally, if youre buying DVDs for quality go for Planet of the Apes for the special effects, again Jurassic Park 111 for special effects and cinematography, and thirdly Moulin Rouge for a brilliantly directed piece of cinematic history, which is unlike anything that has gone before, its funny, clever, has a great soundtrack and definitely isnt "crap"!

Crawley store still have a lot of box sets left. The manager there explained to me it wasnt a pricing error, it is standard practice on their box sets. They buy in a load at full price. If they dont sell they reduce them down Case in point he said is the Robocop trilogy that they are selling for £24.99!

I have to say I`ve tried many DV camcorders, and while you might get more features on other cameras, and cheaper prices, the clarity of ANY panasonic camcorder far outstrips the competition. They use far superior lenses

Lidl`s are selling a wireless receiver/transmitter for £49.
It`s excellent. Can transmit any TV, Satellite or DVD transmission to another TV in the house without any cables. Bought it today, rigged it up and the reception is incredible. No picture loss at all.

RE: Problems playing Region 1 DVDs after a remote hack
Ive had exactly the same problem with the Grundig HTDV 620. I even took it back to the shop and got a replacement, but its exactly the same. I would describe it as a slight strobing effect. Ive tried everything but to no avail.
If anyone could help I would be grateful before I take it back and get a refund
