Is Alan Partridge funny anymore?
Like a lot of people I was looking forward to the new Alan Partridge series but I think it`s been really poor.
Maybe the novelty factor has worn off over the years but it just seems to lack something.
I find the scenes at the radio station rather tedious now and the girlfriend has not made any difference.
It`s such a shame when you consider how good the first series was.
So come back Tony Ferrino all is forgiven !!!
I hope someone out there agrees with me?
RE: Is Alan Partridge funny anymore?
Tony Ferrino should stay gone. forever.
I find this series bloody excellent, although not as good as the last one, so far.
RE: Is Alan Partridge funny anymore?
Was he ever funny or did I miss something?
RE: Is Alan Partridge funny anymore?
He was funny as a one-joke character in The Day Today, but the spin-off series got tedious very quickly.
And that bloody canned laughter - should be banned I reckon.

If you think Alan is no longer funny, I suggest you watch an alternative universe of Partridge under the name of Tony Wilson in the movie 24 hour party people.
Really funny and you really think what a twat. You finally know where Steve Coogan got his insperation from.

Sorry top cat, have to disagree!
I laughed like a girl all the way through last night`s programme!
Funny as f*ck!
CASHBACK!!!
RE: Is Alan Partridge funny anymore?
I agree entirely.......Tony Ferrino was vastly underrated.......and the new series is not a patch on "knowing me ,knowing you" or "i`m alan partridge".....
RE: Is Alan Partridge funny anymore?
Last night`s was easily the best yet in the new series - last week`s (episode 2?) was especially poor. However, series 1 was so much better...
What?
That scene last week with the table for a door! Absolute comedy classic!!! The timing, everything. The look on Alan`s face waiting for a cup to be picked up so he could pick a bit of fruit up to balance. Fantastic.
