Different BBC1 channels on Sky. Is it possible??
I`ve read the postings on how to get different regions (i.e. out of your own area) of ITV, and it works..,.. thank you all contributors.
I`m in Cardiff and my sky-box card will only give me BBC1 Wales.
Is there any way, similar to the ITV `dodge`, that I can receive out-of-region BBC1??
I don`t understand why I can get out-of-region BBC2 channels but not BBC1.
Is there a good reason??

I don`t think (although I`m bound to be proved wrong..) that you can. Sky can change it but it always resets. Think it goes on your postcode.

Thanks Ste for your reply.
At the expense of repeating myself, I can`t get my head round the fact that we get all the regional BBC2 progs offered but not BBC1 options???
If it can be done for one, then why not the other??
It can`t be for technical reasons. Can it??
Would Auntie`s technical dept answer, I wonder?
RE: Different BBC1 channels on Sky. Is it possible??
Oh yeah, it`s not technical at all.
Politics.
There were other issues last year where for example, BBC in Scotland got football matches on whereas for the English it was Pay Per View on Sky!

Not exactly positive on this but I`m sure I read on a digital frequency/listings page somewhere on the web that BBC were actually planning to allow viewing of other regions in the near future. If I can remember the page I`ll post the address.
PS H`way the lads :-) :-)
