Hi I don`t know if anyone else has been having problems with Freeserve anytime but I`m having a right going on, lines always engaged( except now of course) clogged up and slow, sometimes it says this line is not available or something similar.
I`ve been on to them and they gave me three Anytime numbers and said that was all they had.
One I had thats nearly always engaged or clogged. One doewsn`t exist and I did it right, one now says this line is unailable. So back to my first one that is still clogged etc and problems with emails coming in too.
My machine is Ok its more Anytime over load.
Anyone got any suggestions or even better can someone give me any freeserve Anytime numbers.
Maybe its just a local thing here but they tell me no-one else uis having any problems!!!!!
Thanks in advance, Best Mark.

To be honest I`m only staying with Freeserve because for 24/7 it is £2 cheaper than AOL. But the way that Freeserve is going I can see me jumping ship rather quickly as I`m getting p[at]dess off with being dis-connected before the 2 hour cut-off . They seem to be getting slower each week and to be honest at least AOL offer you on-line help or live help via a free phone number.
Just to see if this helps you out try both these numbers 08089933006 and 08089916001 as when I`ve had problems connecting I`ve tried an alternative number and sometimes that works. I think it`s just your Donald Duck. HTH

Hey mate,

I`ve been having the same problems. The Freeserve service is terrible in my opinion, and is only being saved by the fact that I can`t be bothered to change it !

i`m in no way saying aol is the best out there, there are probely arguments somewhere that this person has had problems here or there with just about anything but myself i was with bt then freeserve and then aol and i found aol the best of the 3 also i had a problem getting connected with freeserve and had to ring there 50pence a minute call line and talk about taking the p*** on how long thay could keep you on the phone for after 6 mins {3£to you and me} and got no info what so ever i put the phone down and then went to aol, 2 years now and no bother connecting etc: also and i never said this but with aol you get the first month free then if you phone up and say you want to cancel you get another month free you could try for a 3rd get my drift, then when you are with them every now and again try again you could save your self give it ago see what you think!!!

I dumped Freeserve over a year ago for the same reasons and went with Aol.Nearly always a first time connection and not disconnected after
2 hrs.Best move I ever made.

I`ve had the opposite and nothing but first time connections with no loss of speed. Okay there`s a 2 hour cutoff, but I`m rarely on that long anyway.

I`ve had three months for £13.99 (kept calling before they billed my credit card and said I wanted to cancel, they kept offering me a free month to keep me to see if I`d change my mind). Now they`ve offered my Anytime for £5.99 per month for the next three months.

I`m sorry to hear that there are still problems with the service for some, hopefully it`ll get better.

I couldn`t get connected at all last night. Dunno wot the problem was, but it`s the first time (in 4 years as a Freeserve customer) that i`ve had problems. Perhaps they had a server or 12 go down? Anyone checked their website? I will now and post if anything is mentioned there.

The reason its been going slow is that the people who give freeserve the lines went bust or someshite so they have been having problems due to this it was in the paper not to long ago....

Well finally managed to get back on and strange to see i`m not the only one having problems as I was told no-one else was having my troubles!!!!!! "AHEM"!!!!!!
Hopefully they will sort it out a bit.
5.99 sounds good how did you mange that when the rest of us poor saps are paying 14 big ones all but a penny.
Must admit i got on Ok today, but lately instead of Anytime its been a bit sometime/maybe and getting the engaged signal drives me mad, well madder as i`m already a bit potty.
Thing is a person gets addicted to this internet lark and soon becomes a pastey faced saggy eyed net junkie. Can`t remember the last time I read a book, got to get a grip.
But I can remeber the last time I went to bed far too late with a monitor headache and a sinking sad feeling as I needed some emails. OH Dear!!!
Come on freesrve get a grip, Best mark.
