Page 1 of Just Started playing my Dreamcast again.....

I decided to give my Dreamcast a run today and try and get into shenmue 2.....i had it connected up with the VGA lead connected to my 19" monitor.

I forgot how great some of these games looked in VGA mode.....Soul Calibur, Shenmue 2 and Guilty Gear X......i have,nt seen much come close to these games for fluidity and beauty.

There is definetly nothing on the PS2 that look this good....Soul Calibur still looks far better and smoother than Tekken 4 and Virtua Fighter 4 although may not have the depth of these games.

Shenmue 2 is a work of art, everything in this game is beautiful looking....everyone should agree whether you like the gameplay or not....i had been playing kingdom Hearts on the PS2 and although it looks really great and is next generation graphics....it cant compare for looks to Shenmue.

Guilty Gear X was the first 2D beat em up done in 640 480 high resolution and again is really shown off on Dreamcast.

I am not bashing the PS2 as i still buy new games for it but it is,nt as powerful as we were led to believe.

I know how you feel pal i havn`t botherd getting any of the new rane of consoles yet im quite happy with the addictive games ive got for the dreamcast the bet thing about it is is backup ready without a mod chip so ive got loads of games i just wish other people could see the light. INFACT im going to go as for to say buy one people ther £50 brand new with a game you really really can`t grumble.

Not only is there great games still out there to pick up you can also use your DC to Play VCDs, MP3s and emulate Megadrive, Snes and Neogeo games as well as connect to the internet.

You can even use your own internet provider to connect now...it came in handy for me when my PC was being repaired.

Its a good backup machine if you need the internet and dont have a PC.

Soul Calibur on the DC is jaggieville compared to Tekken 4 on the PS2.

Had a DC for a while, virtually none of the Games interested me.

PS2 is the better machine.
