Page 1 of Xbox Price cut
Gaming and Consoles Forum
Microsoft have anounced that the Xbox will drop to just £199 next Friday (26/4).
Sales have been good but not impressive, and they want to get as many systems into the houses before the Gamecube release a few weeks later
I got an email stating that any1 who has already bought an xbox for £299 should click on the link on website & they will get 2 free games & and a controller. Will post link later.

Hey guys,
That`s a fantastic deal - I don`t think any of us could have expected Microsoft to have slashed their prices so quickly after the release.
If I hadn`t already bought a PS2, I would definitely consider it - if only for Championship Manager !!

I`ve lost out big time in the past to price cuts on consoles, this just shows microsofts class, anyone remember sony/nintendo/sega ever doing anything like this? I can`t. Payed £300 for mine, and its worth £300, Halo and Dead or Alive are amazing games, more greats to come like Unreal Championship for instance. DVD playback is excellent, far superior to the PS2s, Gfx are comepletely stunning even on the crappier games, its such a good machine.
yea.. it usually takes an age for consoles to take that much of a drop in price.. it really is tempting..
lol Champ Mans what I`d get it for too. By all accounts the game appears pretty much identical to the PC version, except the player database is slighty smaller by a few thousand. The processor in the XBox puts my PC to shame.
