Page 1 of Xbox Live, The new generation.. WARNING

Haven`t played on GTA IV on line for ages, so hooked up with a friend to play "Cops and crooks"

A couple of games went by without any sort of problems, then playing a game, once I died in a spectacular explosion, the black loading screen came up, crashing the game.

All the time, I`d been in a private chat with my friend so the other team couldn`t hear us and vice versa.

So I restarted and was driving around in party mode. After about 10 mins I received a message. It was from one of the players in the last game.

Oh dear. Pure filth. Something about a "very happy cat and a female dog".

So I kindly sent back a message saying, literally. "Sorry about the last game not sure what your message means, it crashed on me, take it up with Rockstar."

Within a few mins , I got a response. This one was about one of my relatives and one of the characters from the game getting up to some weird stuff.

So I sent back a message apologising again and telling the player that a complaint was filed.

I then blocked all communication.

10 mins later another message from one of his friends. Yet more abuse.

Did the same again, complaint, block communication.

This Morning, I turn on the 360 and yet another abusive message, this one from another player again!

I am terribly perplexed. There was no trash talking, no "wind ups" as we were in a private chat.

I have been on Xbox Live for 4 years. In all that time I have talked, chatted, laughed and generally had a blast with people from all over the world. I have never, ever come across something like this. And where are these guys "supposedly" from?

I can sympathise. Had a similar experience myself when playing FIFA recently. The game was 1-1 and then crashed through no fault of my own and at the time I wasn`t sure if it was my console, their console or the broadband link. However, within 5 minutes after a reboot I was kindly sent a message from my former opponent explaining exactly what he thought of me using the word "w@***r"

been on live for a couple of years and to be honest i can,t believe that this is the first time you have come across it. to be fair with me its usually americans and usually involves your mother but i normally just change the people i play with.

i used to find that they were pretty easy to shut up.
you just have to beat them at the own game, but in a much funnier, and cleverererer manner..

I would always get trash talk on halo, cod, gow and stuff. What has shocked me is that with NO voice comms at all, these people , random players on a random ranked match, decided to send abusive text messages over a 30 hour period! I have never had that before ever.

bizzare behaviour.

Just immature little pricks, don`t let it phase you, plenty of trash talk about and if any is ever aimed at me (I get plenty with my GT) i just cut to the chase and tell `em how it is back....yes usually americans but the occasional english, scot or irish twat happen along regularly - infact irish are the worst offenders from this side of the atlantic (imo) but they usually shut up when you ask them if they still keep their horse indoors or mention the potato famine. It does amaze me how many yanks want their cocks sucked by a male, it really winds them up when you pick out the problem with with their request.... :D

In fact the Welsh seem to be the most pleasant of the UKs xbox live people....

Haven`t ever had any offensive messages though.......except for Jackals late night photo sessions ;)
