We may be buying a PS2 second hand for our son. What would be a reasonable price (ie on ebay or whatever place). thanks

Console alone, I wouldn`t pay more than £40 for a fatty, simply due to the age of the original model and the problems that tend to come with them as they age. Saying that, mine is 6 years old and I`ve never had any issues with it.

For a newer slimline model, £50-£55 would probably be reasonable as the RRP is around £95, but you can get them for £80 at Amazon.

I`ve actually got a "fatty" as Matthew refers to here, was a GT3 pack. (Thikn it was GT3, box is in the loft!)

Virtually NEVER play it! I think being 100% honest it`s lucky if I`ve played it more than about 30 hours total, and is more a dust gatherer than anything else.

Kepp saying I was going to sell it and never got round to it so you may sway me if you want to prise it from my grip Jean! LOL

Only thing I`d disagree with above...I saw more slimlines with problems (knacked lasers, broken cables, knacked power supplies and faulty lids) than I saw in my time in store, but that could be due to how kids used them.
One thing for sure is that a replacement laser for a slimline is much cheaper than a replacement for the "fatty"
Think IIRC mine is a SCPH 3003 or similar....I`m in Kent at the mo so would need to check when I get home at the weekend if you`re interested.
Got the original GT3 A-Spec game, Got the box the controller, the cables etc (box however is a bit tatty).

Anywhoo...must dash but will check in later ;)

I would say if you try ebay, go for the nearest to you first - you can change from time ending soonest in the drop dow menu. Then, if you find one check you can see it working before parting with your hard earned and you should save the postage. I wouldn`t trust something like that to be posted if it wasn`t in it`s original box with its foam to protect it.

Hi Jimbo, if you sell it what are you looking at for the money? Thanks.

If you can wait til I get home Jean, I`ll double check that I have all the component parts.
Deffo console, hardly used DualShock2 and mains lead, 99% sure there isn`t a mark on the GT3 A-Spec disc and the box is in the loft, but as I said the box has seen better days.

I`m in Kent at the mo but should be home on Friday so will check then and probs PM you. As a side point...where are you located? (to work out postage if required etc)
