They are eveywhere. Seems not enough people interested to clear out the stocks.
RE: PS3 Still in stock at Argos!!
Business is `brisk`, apparently, but at £425 some stocks will be gathering dust for a while.
I`m just insanely jealous of the lucky swines that got the free HDTV at HMV at oxford street. Free taxi home too..

RE: PS3 Still in stock at Argos!!
Price is a factor but it takes a while to sell 220,000 consoles.
Regarding the free tv`s at Oxford St, what i think would have been a better idea for Sony would have been to put a voucher in 100 random ps3 boxes so that everyone had a chance of a free tv and not just the Lucky ones who live in London, only a thought :(
RE: PS3 Still in stock at Argos!!
The feedback I`m seeing so far is that people are very disappointed with the PS3 so far, I`m thinking that Sony may well have blown their chance here.
Not that I`m bothered either way as I`m a PC gamer...

Go that way, really fast. If something gets in your way, turn...
And those who dance will spin and turn,
And those who wait will wait no more,
And those who talk will hear the words,
And those who see will fade and die,
And those who laugh will surely fall,
And those who know will always feel their backs against the thin wall...
RE: PS3 Still in stock at Argos!!
There´s loads of negative press everywhere, but I think for the most part that it´s all aimed at the price. The console´s performance has been less under the spotlight, though some have expressed disappointment at the pad etc.
The best bit is eBay, where the silly hopefuls selling the console over the odds are having to relist them because no one wants them. Here´s the thing dudes: The console is already overpriced at retail, where there are loads of them available. Why should I pay you more?
If there´s one thing Microsoft knew, and got right from the start, it´s that any new system absolutely must come in at the sub £300 price bracket. History proves that any system that comes in above that price flops. I don´t especially wish to see Sony fail here, but I can´t understand why they insisted on Blu-Ray capability for PS3. Surely that´s what drove the price up. People, broadly speaking of course, just don´t really care for the HD disc formats, and I don´t expect they ever will in great numbers.

Looks like I`ll be keeping my XBox360 then... I`ve read A LOT of negative articles on the IntarWeb over the weekend, only becuase there aren`t any positive ones. The main ones center around the cost of the damn thing (up to £150 more expensive that some countries). But a friend of mine did buy one and he if FAR from impressed. The "backwards-compatibility" is nowhere near as good as the Xbox360. If you do get a PS2 game to work it`s like playing it on a Sega Megadrive (they`re actually WORSE than playing them on a PS2 (he was using Fifa 07)). The motion sensitivity is annoying...
