Hi,
I need the help of the bargain buckets community. I am trying, REALLY HARD, to find Lego Agents Mission 6: Mobile Command Centre.

If anyone has seen it in stock ANYWHERE online or In person, PLEASE let me know. I really have to find this.

IMy aopologise if this is in the wrong forum, but I thought you would be the best guys to ask. I would even look at overseas sites, as long as they send to the UK.

Woolworths is (was) owned by the Kingfisher Group, I can`t find anything on the Argos (or Home Retail Group (argos` parents)) websites to say they own woolworths too. HRG do own Homebase though, which is probably why you don`t see a cheaper than Homebase ad...

yeah, but a comparison of a promotional price is totally different to a comparison of a regular price. I don`t understand how people can get away with it. I believe in a genuine case, Woolworths would probably rank more expensive than Argos...

Woolworths have a page on their website claiming to be cheaper than Argos. I`m no advoctae for either store, but if you read the small print, it says Woolworth PROMOTIONAL price compared to Argos NORMAL price...

Surely this isn`t legal!!! You can`t bad-mouth ANOTHER company based on unrealistic comparisons...

Looks like I`ll be keeping my XBox360 then... I`ve read A LOT of negative articles on the IntarWeb over the weekend, only becuase there aren`t any positive ones. The main ones center around the cost of the damn thing (up to £150 more expensive that some countries). But a friend of mine did buy one and he if FAR from impressed. The "backwards-compatibility" is nowhere near as good as the Xbox360. If you do get a PS2 game to work it`s like playing it on a Sega Megadrive (they`re actually WORSE than playing them on a PS2 (he was using Fifa 07)). The motion sensitivity is annoying...

It may, but I feel Argos possibly don`t make that much or nothing at all on Video games, and probably relay on the profit from things like XBox 360 + 2 games for £220 type offers.

From what I read and hear, Argos are also not seen as major players in the Video Games retail area, so people are pretty non-plused when Argos sell their games at low prices like this.

Good spot though, I`ll definitely be taking a look, cos I haven`t got £45+ to spend on games for my Xbox360 at the moment...

I saw one of these sold on ebay for over £150 not including the p+p, at the same time Argos were selling them for £49.99. I also saw one oppurtunist selling "information" for £1.50/£2.00 on how to obtain an Xbox for £49.99 + 4 "top" games. Just makes me laugh. I wouldn`t be surprised if they did drop the price closer to Christmas. Keep em peeled!!!

HMV Milton Keynes - XBOX 360 Deal

I don`t know how long this is running for, but HMV in Milton Keynes are doing an XBox 360 (unclear which version, but if it`s a premium versiopn, which is most likely, BARGAIN + Gears of War + Ghost Recon Advanced War Fighter for £299.99.

I felt this was a bargain as a XBox 360 system is £279.99 ON IT`S OWN...

What`s the difference between the Xbox Live "Silver" and Xbox Live "Gold"?
The Silver is the free portion of Xbox Live to which every Xbox 360 owner has access. It provides access to the Xbox Live Marketplace, the ability to send and receive text and voice messages, and the ability to download backward-compatibility profiles for supported Xbox1 titles.

In addition to all the Silver services, Xbox Live Gold adds the ability to play multiplayer games online, but it requires an annual fee, it is £40 a year at the moment.

I believe Xbox Live SILVER membership is free (you get that when you register your Xbox at www.xbox.com/live). I`m not sure what that membership entails, but getting online with it shouldn`t be a problem, GOLD membership lets you do everything though. Check the link to amazon ABOVE to see the differences ;)

You may be interested to know that this: laed_aneramsg[at]moc.oohay is the email address of the imbecile who set the eBay scam page up. Probably set up with fake details, but you can always spam his email account until the cows come home!!!

The scam itself is very amateurish, as I managed to gleam his email address within a minute (easy when you know where to look). The form submits you details to his email address AND to eBay so you look like you`ve logged straight in to eBay. It`s the oldest trick in the book, just very badly, they haven`t even tried to disguise the web address!!!

Alba TVD3450 XL Hack???

I am beginning to wonder about this DAMN TV/DVD combi player. All the region hacks I can find say:

1. Hit Setup on the remote. (the remote doesn`t have a setup button, you press info to get into the setup)

2. Press next arrow on the remote 4 times (this could be interpretted as the right arrow, or the search arrow (neither work))

Does a region hack for this TV/DVD combi actually exist, cos non of the Alba related hacks I can find actually work on it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
