Why doesn`t the PS2 Network Adaptor support 137+ GB drives?

deano59 (Competent) posted this on Wednesday, 6th April 2005, 18:32

I read this on a how to install a hard drive in a PS2 website. Is this true? I hope not because I just ordered a 160GB Maxtor Diamond plus 9 hard drive from SVP. Any advice will be gratefully appreciated.

Best Wishes

Dan

I heard that it won`t register any drives bigger than 120Gb as for the reason no idea!! Swap the drive with a smaller one from your comp if you have any!! Hassle but should work, or insert and see if you can read 120Gb on the drive

According to HDAdvance`s details they support up to 200Gb

www.hdadvance.com/hd_advance_whatis.htm

I seem to remember that HDLoader (the original software) only supported up to 120Gb

You need to get hold of the LBA48 Patched HDLoader or HDAdvance2. They can recognise any size drives in theory.
